Career Development Loans

If you require financial assistance to help fund your course, you may apply for a Career Development Loan between £300 and £8000. These loans are provided through the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) and high street banks including Barclays, The Co-operative Bank and the Royal Bank of Scotland. Do you qualify for IRTC funding from the Armed Forces?

If you are soon to leave the Armed Forces and wish to undertake one of our courses, and if this forms part of your personal resettlement plan, you may be entitled to use all or part of your IRTC grant to help fund the course. Your Unit Resettlement Office will be able to provide guidance, and we can assist you by providing the information you need about the courses we operate. IRTC funding can only be used where the training will lead to employment.
