Ski & Snowboard Insurance Cover
It is essential that you are adequately insured when you travel and therefore we have organised an insurance scheme with Towergate Chase Parkinson, who are part of the Towergate Underwriting Group Limited, and are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
Our insurance has been carefully prepared to offer our customers excellent cover. However, should you decide to insure elsewhere you must supply details of this alternative insurance.
Option To Cancel
If, after reading the full Terms and Conditions on your Certificate of Insurance, you feel that the cover offered does not adequately meet your needs, please return all of your documents within 14 days of receipt for a refund of your premium.
If during the first 14 days, you ask the Insurer to perform or provide the services given under this policy then they are entitled to recover all costs you have used for the service provided, if you still decide to cancel within the 14 days.
Please note that after the 14-day period, refund of your policy is no longer valid.
Summary of Benefits & Cover
The terms and conditions of this insurance are as per the Certificate of Insurance only, and the summary of cover and benefits below does not form part of the contract of insurance between the Insured and the Insurer.
This insurance cover has been designed to protect our travellers against the vast majority of problems that may occur on holiday. However, in common with most policies of this type, it is impossible to cover against every eventuality. Therefore to serve as a guide only, we have set out below a summary of the principal cover and benefits provided under the insurance.
Health Warranty
This insurance carries Health Restrictions so you should inform Towergate Chase Parkinson of any medical conditions of material facts that may affect the Underwriters acceptance of your cover. Please therefore telephone Towergate Chase Parkinson on 0870 906 3142 to inform them is anyone to be covered by this policy or any person upon whose health the trip depends: (a) Has a pre-existing or on-going medical condition (b) Is taking any prescribed (c) Has or has had any condition still requiring periodic review (d) Is awaiting any tests, treatment, investigation, referral or the results of same. Failure to notify them may cause your circumstances to fall within policy exclusion.

Limits of Cover (per person)
Cancellation – Up to £7,500
Cancellation due to specified causes as detailed within the travel insurance document.
Medical/ Emergency Repatriation Expenses - £2,000,000
Includes repatriation by Air Ambulance where medically necessary and with prior approval of the Insurers or the 24 hour medical emergency service.
Includes 24 hours Medical Emergency Service
Curtailment & Hospital Benefit- Up to £7,500
Following the Insurers admitting a claim under the Medical Expenses or Repatriation sections, reimbursement of a pro-rata amount of the total pre-paid travel and accommodation costs. Hospital benefit is paid in addition to any claim for doctors’ bills, hospital bills etc under the Medical Expenses section.
Luggage & Personal Money- Up to £1,500
Covering your personal property whilst abroad
Luggage Delay – Up to £150
Up to £50 per day for the purchase of essential items if the carrier delays your luggage for a period exceeding 24 hours on the outward bound journey
Personal Liability – Up to £1,000,000
Covering your legal liability to others during the Period of Insurance
Personal Accident – Up to £15,000
In respect of accidental bodily injury or illness resulting in death, loss of eye(s), Limb(s) or permanent total disablement.
Loss of Passport – Up to £250
Covering the cost to obtain an emergency replacement passport purchase abroad as a result of the original passport being lost or stolen.
Delayed Departure – Up to £100
Providing cover in the event of your initial departure from the UK or the final return journey to the UK being delayed in excess of 12 hours.
Missed Departure – Up to £500
Covering additional transport costs due to missing the pre-booked departure due to failure or disruption of pre-booked public transport.
Legal Expenses – Up to £10,000
Covering expenses incurred in the pursuit of compensation or damages for personal injury or death during the Period of Insurance.
Inability to Ski – Up to £150
Providing cover for irrecoverable pre paid costs in the event that the Insured is unable to ski following illness or injury certified by the treating Doctor.
Ski Hire – Up to £200
Providing cover for the cost of reasonable ski hire following the accidental loss of or damage to the Insureds own skis.
Avalanche – Up to £150
Covering the cost of additional travel and accommodation expenses in arranging a detour as a result of avalanche, landslide, snow or flood at the original scheduled resort.
Piste Closure – Up to £150
Covering the cost of additional transport and ski passes in the event that there is inadequate snow at the original scheduled resort.
Excesses
No excess shall apply to Personal Accident, Loss Of Passport, Delayed Departure, Missed Departure, Inability to Ski, Ski Hire, Avalanche and Piste Closure. For all other sections the Insurers will deduct the first £50 of each claim.
24 Hour Medical Assistance
This insurance includes a 24-hour English speaking emergency telephone line, so you have peace of mind if you ever need help or assistance.
