Additional activities
In your spare time, you can make the most of what the resort and the surroundings have to offer. There will be a diverse range of optional courses, trips, excursions and recreational activities available, and these can be arranged through your resort representative and paid for locally. We do offer International Academy delegates a 5% discount off the optional activity prices, which will be supplied to you upon arrival in resort.

For Whistler Blackcomb, you can do the following apres-ski activities:
Heli-skiing – Soar above the mountains before landing on untouched, pristine powder fields. Take in the awe-inspiring backcountry scenery and then carve fresh tracks across terrain 100 times bigger than Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. |
Snowmobiling – Take control and feel the power - fly across the snow on an adrenalin high. Cruise along and enjoy the views or join an action packed tour |
Dog Sledding – Drive your own team of Alaskan racing huskies as your musher shows you how to hitch and harness the dogs before heading out on an unforgettable journey. |
Ziptrek – See Whistler and Blackcomb mountains in a way not many people have. Fly through the air from one mountain to the other above Fitzsimmons Creek on a 5 line Ziptrek tour. |
Snowshoeing – Relax and take life at a slower pace. Explore Whistler mountain and see the views from a different perspective. Look out for Mountain Lions and one of Whistlers famous Black Bears! |
Vancouver Day Tour – Visit the worlds second most liveable city with a guided tour of the magnificent Sea to Sky highway before being dropped in Downtown Vancouver to explore the excellent shopping district. |
Fresh Tracks – Be an early bird and get the first tracks down the mountain. Feel the freedom of carving through fresh powder and make the most of the panoramic views as you indulge in a fantastic feast for breakfast. |
Cat Skiing – Fancy fresh tracks across 5 peaks and 4300 acres of terrain? Catskiing on Powder Mountain gives you just that with a guide leading the way and a photographer to capture it all for you. |
Tubing – Have the ride of your life at Whistler’s newest après event. Shoot down green, blue or black – it doesn’t matter what level skier you are because you’ll be on your bum anyway! |
Hockey – Feel the excitement as you watch the Vancouver Canucks fight their way to the top of the table. Take advantage of the outstanding exchange rate in Vancouver’s shopping district before heading to the GM Stadium for the game of your life. |

For Banff / Lake Louise, you have the option to do:
Heli-skiing – Autograph the fresh powder with this once in a lifetime experience. A free heli-skiing trip is included in the Lake Louise courses commencing Nov 2008 & Jan 2009 |

These courses are optional (subject to availability) and can be paid for locally in resort. Due to time constraints, you would only have the chance of gaining Level 1 Coach qualifications on a 12 week course. Helmets are mandatory on all coaching courses and the Level 1 Coaching courses are administered by CASI Regional Co-ordinators.
